To know why the SportWagon is stable during challenging road
conditions, read our 2008 2009 Saab 95 SportWagon performance review
for the critical specs. Even with a full load out on the road,
the Saab 9-5 SportWagon is powerful and well-balanced. The
2008 2009 Saab 95 SportWagon offers three trim levels:
What's more, an optional Touring package is available on
all models that include bi-xenon headlights, rear parking
assist, auto-dimming exterior mirrors and rain-sensing wipers.
Perhaps most importantly, no matter which 9-5 SportWagon model
you choose, a parcel shelf separates the quiet, comfortable
interior from the luggage compartment. We are especially pleased
to present this 2008 2009 Saab 9-5 Wagon review for your information
and assistance. Look around and enjoy!
The Saab 9-5 Linear is powered by a 185-horsepower turbocharged
four-cylinder that comes standard with a five-speed manual
transmission or a five-speed automatic. The Arc gets its power
from a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, rated at 200 horsepower
with the five-speed automatic as standard. Aero models get
a high-output version of the Linear's four-cylinder motor
that produces 250 horsepower. Like the Linear, the Aero comes
standard with a five-speed manual while a five-speed automatic
is optional. Another feature you'll find in almost every 9-5
SportWagon review: shift buttons on the steering wheel for
manual control of the five speed automatic are new this year.
These features are only the beginning. Inside and out, the
Saab 9-5 SportWagon is chock-full of features including:
- AM/FM/CD radio
- Climate control
- Split-folding rear seat
- CargoTracks (TM) in luggage compartment floor
- Heated and ventilated seats
- 16 cubit feet of trunk space
Other Saab 9-5 SportWagon accessories that are mentioned
in every Saab 9-5 review include: spoilers, face guards, and
more.
Last but not least, the Saab 9-5 SportWagon is safe. All
9-5 models include adaptive force front airbags, active head
restraints and head-torso side airbags. Additional features
include:
- Antilock brakes
- Traction control
- Electronic Brakeforce Distribution
- Electronic stability control system
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 9-5
a rating of "Good," its best, and named the 9-5 a "Best Pick"
in crash test survivability. All of this, plus a great ride,
made it easy for us to write our 2008 2009 Saab 95 SportWagon review
with such relish and enthusiasm. We hope you have enjoyed
it, and hope to see you again soon.
