The brand new, 2008 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse is an excellent balance
of performance, luxury, economy and reliability. New for this
year, Mitsubishi offers four distinct Eclipse models:
- Mitsubishi Eclipse RS
- Eclipse GS
- Eclipse GT
- Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS
Pictures aren't enough to describe the unforgettable look
of the 2008 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse. You have to experience Eclipse
performance for yourself. That, of course, is why we're here
- through Mitsubishi Eclipse pictures like the one above,
we can bring the Eclipse experience to you. We hope you enjoy
our Eclipse review.
The 2008 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse runs on pure power under the
hood. In the RS and GS models, this power comes from a 2.4-liter,
cast-iron, SOHC, 16-valve Inline-4 engine that delivers 147
horsepower at 5,500 rpm and produces 158 pounds-per-foot of
torque at 4,000 rpm. In the GT and GTS models, the power is
generated by a 3.0-liter, cast-iron, SOHC, 24-valve V-6 engine
that delivers 200 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and produces 205
pounds-per-foot of torque at 4,000 rpm. With the option of
a five-speed manual transmission or the patented Sportronic
sequential shift 4-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive
Shift Control, you're never left out in the cold. Above all
else, this is why so many car fans love their Eclipse pictures
and photographs.
But performance stats are only the beginning; the Eclipse
looks great, too. On the outside, the car's greatness is personified
by features that include:
- Alloy wheels
- Auto-off headlights
- Two-speed variable intermittent windshield wipers with
mist control
- Tinted solar control glass
You can see all of the features mentioned above in a standard
Eclipse picture. What you can't see, on the inside, are features
that are equally as inviting, including:
- Air conditioning
- Power windows
- Titanium finish
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel
If all of these standard features aren't enough, you can
purchase additional good looks and buy a 2008 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse
body kit from a number of vendors. Most of these Eclipse body
kits include items such as front bumpers, side skirts, and
rear bumpers. All of the kits are available in fiberglass
or urethane.
Still not convinced to buy a 2008 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse? Then
get a load of this - the Eclipse is safe, too. With a sophisticated
anti-lock braking system, 4-wheel disc brakes and automatic
traction control, the Eclipse offers surefooted comfort in
any weather conditions. The car also comes with:
- Standard dual front air bags
- Available dual side air bags
- Refined Impact Safety Evolution chassis
- Available single-button panic feature
