The 2008 2009 Lincoln Town Car's confident direction blends timeless
Town Car styling cues with a reshaped hood, fenders and quarter
panels. As you can see from the Town Car picture above, the
2008 2009 Lincoln Town Car is formal, refined, and ultimately inviting,
and is available in a number of different models and packages:
- Lincoln Town Car Limited Edition
- Lincoln Town Car Cartier
- Lincoln Town Car Cartier L
All models of the 2008 2009 Lincoln Town Car are powered by a
4.6-liter, SOHC, V-8 engine with two valves per cylinder and
a dual exhaust. Signature and Executive series drivers will
notice the 19-horsepower and 22 pound-per-foot increase in
engine capacity, with 239 horsepower at 4,900 rpm and 287
pounds-per-foot of torque at 4,100 rpm. A host of re-engineered
performance features, including front suspension, gives the
2008 2009 Town Car noticeably enhanced ride and handling, as well.
Some of those features include:
- Advancements in the independent short- and long-arm front
suspension
- Revised rear monotube dampers are mounted further outboard,
contributing to the luxurious ride quality.
- New rear stabilizer bar is fitted to all Town Cars
- Self-leveling air springs maintain a constant ride height
regardless of vehicle load.
Features like these are bonuses you can't see from an ordinary
Town Car picture. These are benefits you'll have to experience
for yourself.
In terms of design, you'll say deem the Town Car "picture
perfect," too. First, on the outside, the car offers Lincoln's
standard chrome grille along with Quad-beam, jewel-reflector
halogen headlights, which are 60 percent brighter than most
dual-beam headlights. On the inside, the Town Car features
even more elegance, including:
- American walnut burl and satin nickel accents
- Power-adjustable foot pedals
- Analog clock
- Alpine Audiophile System
- Dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control
- 8-way power front seats
- Electrochromic rearview mirror
Features like these make you feel as if you're riding in
luxury no matter where you go. Perhaps this is why we felt
the need to focus on them so heavily in our new 2008 2009 Lincoln
Town Car review.
Another feature we focus on - safety. This is something
about the vehicle that you can't see in Town Car pictures.
Still, it's important. The car boasts one of the most comprehensive
driver and front-passenger restraint strategies, also known
as the Personal Safety System. The Town Car also features
a power-assisted, four-wheel disc antilock brake system, Perimeter
alarm system, and LATCH child-seat anchor supports. With safety
features like these, it's no wonder so many Lincoln Town Car
reviews are positive. To learn more about the car, or to check
